Beatrice Maione
I’m a textile specialist based in Milan. After studying and working between the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, I developed a strong sensitivity to materials, colour, and the ways they influence spatial and sensory experiences.

I currently work at Schumacher1889, where I collaborate with architects and private clients, providing textile consultancy and guidance in the selection of fabrics. My experience spans fabric application and development within corporate environments, with a focus on material research, trend analysis, and project coordination. I combine technical expertise with a creative mindset to deliver innovative, high-quality textile solutions tailored to each project’s aesthetic and functional goals.

Alongside my professional work, I pursue an independent research practice exploring the cultural and social dimensions of materials in contemporary contexts. These investigations often take shape through installations, products, and publications, with fabric remaining my constant medium and a foundation for a collaborative, material-driven approach to design.
